Goings on in the square
The rain has excited the birds: about 12 sparrows are twittering away furiously, grouping in the Daphne bush, then regrouping over at the laurel bush, then again gathering under the myrtle. A blackbird is scuttling at great speed across the back of the patio. The fat pigeon is sitting in the laurel, looking on - until another fat pigeon appears which it then chases.
